Plays easily, octaves come very natural and has a nice overall round sound. This is an ideal tool for when you already have our Artist or Pro Whistle, and need other keys that you might play less often on. Below an audio sample of the Standard Series Irish Whistle: Whether you are an experienced musician or you want to start playing Irish Whistle, your first 5 YouTube lessons are on us! In these online lessons we give advice on how to master Irish Whistle playing with examples. We are busy offering various options on this and other series, such as other bodies and mouthpieces in various colors and materials.
  • Our Artist High Whistle is a perfect whistle for beginning as well as advanced players. The body is hand made from high grade aluminium. The flute head is designed and produced in our workshop as well and made from resin, resulting in a warm, well defined sound overall. Tuning can be done by moving the head up and down (+/- 12 ct). Our whistles are played by Trinity, Sjoerd Visser and others (see our Artist page). Available keys: Bb, B, C, D, Eb and E. You can opt for a second extra body with your purchase. This allows you to exchange bodies without having to buy a complete whistle. The Artist Whistles are also available in carbon, brass and cocobolo. Please note that it may tak up to 5-14 days until your order is ready to ship! Please contact us for lead times.
  • The alto whistle is available in the keys: F, G, A, Bb and B. This is also a tunable whistle.
  • This complete new line of whistles have a brass body; as a result they sound rich and full, with rich hamrmonics. Our Artist Brass Body Whistles make use of our own 3D printed head, and it also tuneable by retracting it (-12 ct) or pushing it slightly inward (+12ct). Low Whistles will soon be available! Tone holes are created with our computerised CNC, which results in very accurate intonation. Last but not least, you can also choose to add a soft case to your order. Listen to a recording of our High Whistle Brass here (from 02:00):
  • This is a new generation deQuelery Low Whistles, that can be tuned +/- 12 cents by adjusting the head position. The whistle head and the body are designed and made in our workshop. Made to order, delivery times vary as we have waiting times for aluminium tubing at the moment. It is crazy busy at the moment! Please allow for at least three weeks to receive your order. Listen to the Low Whistle here:
    Keys: C, D, E and F.
  • This complete new line of whistles has a carbon body. It makes them extremely strong and stiff; as a result they sound rich and full, but also nice and loud. Our Artist Carbon Whistles make use of our own 3D printed head, and it also tuneable by retracting it (-12 ct) or pushing it slightly inward (+12ct). We also can create an Alto type Whistle for keys of F, G en A. Tone holes are created with our computerised CNC, which results in very accurate intonation. Last but not least, you can also choose to add a soft case to your order.
  • The carbon material feels pleasantly warm to the touch, because unlike brass it has very low heat conductivity and does not take heat from your hand. The air column in the instrument behaves in similar fashion, remaining almost at breath temperature regardless of the ambient temperature where you play and regardless of the instrument’s temperature. This reduces the need to re-tune after you have been playing for a while, and also reduces condensation build-up inside the instrument.
